By placing your drone controller on a tripod, you will create a stable flight station with many benefits. Stable flight stations will improve your precision maneuvering performance. You will be able to fly with finesse on longer flights because your hands and neck will not fatigue from carrying the weight of the controller.
Your drone controller will always have a safe place to hang out when you must change from flight operations to ground operations. Setting the controller on the ground while you attend to battery swaps, changing lenses / filters and retrieving memory cards is a disaster waiting to happen.
